In June  2018 we ran a series of sessions from the then-current 'Sycamore'  (which has now been revamped -the new course can be seen here ).

Thursdays 7.30-8.45pm, starting with tea and cake, in the church hall.

Zacchaeus encountered the Lord Jesus while he was in a Sycamore tree.

This series of short films aims to help us better do the same.

Each 25 minute film was interspersed with a series of pauses to let us discuss its content in our groups, adding to a total of an hour.

The format was the same as with the Alpha films:

We sat around tables, starting with tea & coffee & cake,

then we watched the film and discussed it in our table groups.

14th June, Why Do we need the Church?  (click on title to view)

21st June, Can we trust the Bible and the Christian Tradition?

Sycamore is a programme of evangelisation and catechesis for use in parishes, chaplaincies, schools and other settings. It consists of ten films that explore some of the core questions often put to Christian believers:

How can I find true happiness?

What is the meaning of life?

        Does God exist?

        Who is Jesus Christ?

It deals with topics such as:

The Holy Spirit, the Church, the Bible, the Christian Tradition, faith, prayer, love, vocation, and the purpose of life.

People are invited to:

Learn about the Christian faith, and share their own ideas and questions, in the context of a warm and welcoming community.
